It's possible (though perhaps unlikely) that a multiplayer update could be unveiled later. That's somewhat of a shame - despite the frustrations of noob tubes and final stand, the game's pace, helter-skelter style and sheer power available to players compared to previous editions of the franchise made it a classic.
